On March 5, 2018, Yulia Vitka, Deputy Chief of Party, USAID Financial Sector Transformation Project, told the Ukrinform reporter about the FinTech Challenge announced on March 1. This contest, with the awards totalling UAH1.5 million, challenges local startups to develop a product that will increase the financial literacy of Ukrainians.
“We strive to make financial services more accessible to the Ukrainian public, improve the quality of services, make the interaction between financial market players simpler, more understandable and efficient. As a result, people will be satisfied and will come back to the institution for more services,” stressed Yulia Vitka.
The FinTech Challenge finalists’ presentations are expected to be held on April 26, 2018, and the award ceremony will take place on April 27, 2018.
